For the eighth consecutive year, Zaragoza has hosted the Sesé Training Camp, organised by Sesé and Fundación Sesé in collaboration with VfL Wolfsburg. In its eighth edition, the event reached a record number of participants, bringing together nearly one hundred children and young people for three days focused on football and the values associated with sport.
Participants had the opportunity to train alongside coaches from the German club, who led a range of sessions adapted to the participants’ ages and skill levels. The programme combined technical and tactical exercises with game-based activities, in an environment designed to enjoy sport while learning from the methodology of one of the leading football academies in Germany.
The Sesé Training Camp brought together children and young people, including family members of Sesé employees, from different parts of Spain. The event has established itself as a meeting point for football fans, giving them the opportunity to enjoy a different sporting experience and share training sessions with professionals linked to VfL Wolfsburg.
Beyond the football pitch, the initiative reflects the longstanding relationship between Fundación Sesé and the German club, which also extends to other countries such as Mexico, with sport serving as one of their main points of connection. The collaboration brings a professional football training methodology to Zaragoza while also creating a meeting place for people from both organisations.
Ana Sesé, Vice President of Sesé and President of Fundación Sesé, said: “Sport is one of the most powerful ways we have to connect with others and to share and learn values and a sense of teamwork while having fun. Thanks to our collaboration with VfL Wolfsburg, we can once again turn Zaragoza into a meeting point for sport, learning and coming together.”
As has become customary, the programme concluded with one of the most eagerly awaited moments of the weekend: the traditional friendly match between VfL Wolfsburg’s professional coaches and Sesé employees. The game brought the weekend to a close, rounding off several days in which football served as a meeting point for children, coaches and professionals from both organisations.
